About the Potter (and a few other things)

Maggie Creshkoff lives on the family farm in northern Maryland with far too many cats and her 100+lb plus Dane/mastiff mix, Puccini. She has a BA in American history from Antioch College and an MFA in Ceramics from the Instituto Allende in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. She moved to Maryland in 1982, and started the Backlog Pottery shortly thereafter. Stubbornly committed to using local clays, she is likewise dedicated to getting as many small children and adults as dirty as possible. To that end, Maggie gives a variety of workshops year round, exploring the endless artistic possibilities of clay and a variety of cast offs. |

When not working with clay, Maggie does Trashy Women work, turning tin cans into robots and old metal into Rusty Angels,
